After being the only team in the Rainbow Six North American League to finish top-4 across all three stages, the Soniqs qualified for the US Finals. The championship fielded the top-4 teams across the R6NAL for a multi-day tournament to determine the 2021 North American champion

For the semi finals matchup, Soniqs faced Oxygen—a team which started the 2021 season slow, but continually improved through the year. The series got off to a difficult start for the Soniqs as the team struggled to close out a lead on Oregon before losing the map in overtime.

The second map was just as close, going to overtime with the Soniqs’ playoff hopes on the line. A clutch triple kill from Supr changed momentum at a pivotal moment and Soniqs went on to tie up the series with a 8-7 victory.

Soniqs showed their strength on Coastline, a map they’ve performed well on all season, where they closed out a 7-4 victory to solidify their spot in the grand finals against DarkZero the following day.

On Championship Sunday, Soniqs faced their long term rival—DarkZero, a team Soniqs has historically struggled against. Despite this, Soniqs held control all series long. It started with a 7-5 victory on Bank before moving to Clubhouse. Despite pushing the map to overtime, DarkZero looked like a different team against the Soniqs. An 8-7 overtime victory gave Soniqs the 2021 North American championship title.

Ever since Soniqs entered the Rainbow Six Siege scene, the program has faced nearly every challenge imaginable: player visa difficulties, relegations and a new roster to start the 2021 season. Between the minds of Supr and head coach JoBro, the team quickly caught up to the competition this year and never lost stride.

As the champions of North America, the Soniqs will represent their region at the Six Invitational in February—Rainbow Six Siege’s world championship. After dominating North America all year long, the team hopes to replicate that success on an international stage.
