Soniqs Acquire Geometrics & Gunnar
Sparking the rebuild of the Soniqs Rainbow 6 roster, the team welcomes two new players: Emilio “Geometrics” Leynez and Shaun “Gunnar” Pottorff.
Geometrics joins the Soniqs R6 squad with a plethora of top-tier experience, having played on teams such as Elevate, Counter Logic Gaming, Rogue, Evil Geniuses and TSM in a six year competitive span. After winning it all at the Six Invitational 2022 with TSM, Geometrics comes into the Soniqs roster with a renewed hunger to help both the team and himself achieve new heights in the forever-changing landscape that is Rainbow 6 Siege. Geo is looking to bring consistency to the soniqs in order to elevate the gameplay to fit all stages and succeed no matter the opponent at hand.
“Obviously winning championships is our top priority but focusing on a consistent play style will not only bring us success domestically but internationally," said Seth Hoffman, Soniqs General Manager.
Gunnar comes into the Soniqs Rainbow 6 roster as a young and upcoming talent, having come up from the challenger scene. Gunnar broke out and made his NAL debut with Parabellum Esports in the second stage of the 2022 season, pushing Parabellum’s stage 2 nearly to a major-berth. With his debut in mind, Gunnar made sure to show out, nearly topping impact ratings in the NAL and coming out as one of, if not the most efficient in opening up rounds with the first kill.
With a refreshed look and new heights, the Soniqs Rainbow 6 roster look to compete at the very top both regionally and internationally, chasing championships high and wide. The roster will make their NAL debut in Stage 3 of the 2022 NAL Season starting in September.
